NEW LIFE
Wildlife has returned to the valley bottom and the landscape begins to bloom with vibrant colors. Spring in Jasper National Park offers photographers a plethora of opportunities to capture the beauty of nature awakening from its winter slumber.
Jasper National Park is home to a wide variety of animals, all of whom deserve utmost respect. Our actions have a big impact on the health and survival of wild animals, which will take priority over wildlife viewing and photography.

Itinerary
The NEW LIFE tour itinerary is based upon awe-inspiring locations, while allowing time for wildlife viewing and photography. We plan to be out during dawn or dusk to increase our chances on wildlife sightings.
Our choice of locations is dependent on multiple factors, including preferred subject matter, weather conditions and seasonal changes. Possible tour locations include:
Pyramid Bench, including Patricia Lake and Pyramid Island.
Across the Athabasca; including Lake Edith, Lake Annette and Old Fort Point.
Jasper Lake area; including Talbot Lake, Morro Bluff’s and Jasper Lake.
Maligne Valley; including Maligne Canyon, Medicine Lake and Maligne Lake.
Along the Icefields Parkway (93N); including Athabasca Falls, Horseshoe Lake and Sunwapta Falls.
We acknowledge that Jasper National Park is located in Treaty 6 and 8, and the traditional lands of the Anishinabe, Aseniwuche Winewak, Dene-zaa, Nêhiyawak, Secweìpemc, Stoney Nakoda, Mountain Métis and Métis.
It is a privilege to explore and photograph these traditional, ancestral and rightful lands.
Skill Level
Our photo tours are tailored to the skill level of the participants, from first-timers to seasoned professionals, and are suitable to anyone with a digital camera (DSLR or mirrorless) with manual control of shutter speed, aperture and ISO settings.
Physical Abilities
Generally speaking a photo tour will include roadside locations and short hikes (>3 KM) on well-defined trails with slight elevation changes and uneven terrain. Our photo tours are tailored to the abilities of the tour participants and may be customized upon request.
Weather
The weather patterns in the Canadian Rockies are fickle and hard to forecast accurately. Moody days might not make for the best views, but besides grand mountain vistas we can photograph canyons, lakes, waterfalls, glaciers, wildlife, trees, etc.
All photo tours will run in adverse weather, unless a Public Alert has been published by Environment Canada. In that case, a full refund, minus $50 admin fee, will be provided.
